One of my favorite Fall time photo locations is Powell Butte Nature Park in Portland (well…almost to Gresham). There are old orchards, big expanses of uncut grass fields, rustic fences and well maintained trails. During a typical family portrait session we use only 5% of the park but I always encourage clients to come back and explore the seemingly endless trails in the other sections of the park. The city is currently underway with a major construction project to add additional underground water storage but that has not stopped any of my families from having a blast on the butte.
